Place those sensors!
Artificial intelligence (especially Machine Learning) is used in a wide variety of applications and is becoming commonplace in our day-to-day life.
In Aerospace Engineering, we use it to help with the design of aircraft or for monitoring the health of installations such as aircraft, wind/tidal turbines etc. In this activity (a computer game), you will compete against a computer to determine or predict the features in a flow with a very limited amount of sensors. You will have the chance to put in 3-5 sensors in different places in a particular situation and see if those locations are ideal to predict the overall flow.
The technology used in this game is similar to facial recognition software where there is a typical need to pick specific points on a face and compare that against a database to find a person.
You will get a score relative to the best score that the computer can achieve with its "best" location for the sensors!
