Make Your Place: The Sustainable Enterprise Challenge
Age suitable for: 9+
Make your Place (MYP) is a community enterprise challenge focused on place based innovation for sustainability. It is built upon the EntreComp Framework for Entrepreneurship (Bacigalupo, Kampylis, Punie & Van den Brande, 2016) the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The challenge is a collaboration between the University of Southampton, Southampton City Council, and the Solent LEP and has so far been delivered to almost 200 pupils Year 9 pupils across Southampton.
By taking part you will get the opportunity to develop solutions to the environmental challenges facing your place, to develop solutions to reduce waste, improve opportunities for active and sustainable travel, and change current approaches to energy creation and use.
It will also give you the opportunity to consider careers in sustainability and engineering that you may not have thought about before.
