Did you know nearly one million people in the UK live with dementia, and most cases are caused by Alzheimer's disease? Age and genetics play a role, but here's the twist: your everyday lifestyle choices matter too.
Research shows that inflammation can increase dementia risk, and this is often linked to lifestyle habits like diet and exercise. The good news? Many of these risks are modifiable, meaning you can take steps to protect your brain.
Join our team of researchers from the interdisciplinary ageing and dementia group from the university of Southampton and come and play our giant Snakes & Ladders game: you might be surprised by what helps, or harms, brain health!
By learning about these factors, everyone can make smarter choices in mid-life and beyond, building healthier communities and healthier brains.
